Dashboard overview

1

Understand the analytics dashboard

The analytics page shows a scan timeline chart, total scan count, and breakdowns by device and location. Data is displayed for all campaigns by default.

  • The main chart shows scans over time with a configurable date range.
  • Summary cards at the top show total scans, unique visitors, and top-performing QR codes.
  • Scroll down for detailed breakdowns by device type, operating system, and city.

Filtering and date ranges

2

Filter your data

Use the campaign dropdown to focus on a specific campaign. Adjust the date range to view scans for the last 7, 30, or 90 days.

  • Filters update all charts and breakdowns in real time.
  • The URL updates as you filter, so you can bookmark or share a specific view.
  • Free plans show 30 days of analytics. Pro unlocks the full history.
Tip: Bookmark filtered views to quickly check your most important campaigns.

Device and location breakdown

3

See who is scanning

The device breakdown shows the split between mobile and desktop scanners, plus operating system details. The location section shows scans by city and country.

  • Device data helps you optimize your landing pages for the most common screen sizes.
  • Location data shows which geographic areas have the most engagement.
  • Combine with the placement map to correlate physical locations with scan volume.

Sharing analytics

4

Share analytics with your team

Generate a shareable link for any campaign's analytics page. Recipients can view the data without needing a Dottymap account.

  • Shared links show read-only analytics for the specific campaign.
  • You can revoke a shared link at any time from the campaign settings.

CSV export

5

Export your scan data

Download a CSV file containing raw scan data for the selected campaign and date range. Use this for custom analysis in spreadsheets or BI tools.

  • The CSV includes timestamp, QR code name, device type, OS, city, and country for each scan.
  • Exports respect your current filters, so you get exactly the data you need.
Tip: Schedule regular exports if you need to feed scan data into an external reporting system.
