These terms govern your use of Dottymap (“the Service”), operated by Dottymap (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

Dottymap is a QR code management platform that lets you create branded QR codes, track scan analytics, and map physical poster placements. We offer a free tier and a paid Pro subscription.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to distribute malicious content
• Create QR codes that redirect to phishing, malware, or fraudulent websites
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you create using the Service (QR codes, campaigns, poster placements). We retain ownership of the Service itself, including its design, code, and branding. You grant us a limited license to host and display your content as necessary to operate the Service.

5. Payment Terms

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel anytime from your billing settings — access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are provided at our discretion for billing errors or service issues
• Promotional pricing (e.g., early bird discounts) applies for the stated duration only

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our privacy policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or emailing you at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
