Campaigns

Campaigns are the foundation of Dottymap. They group your QR codes together so you can organize, track, and share performance by project or initiative.

What are campaigns?

A campaign is a container for related QR codes. Think of it like a folder. You might create one campaign per event, product launch, or marketing channel. Every QR code belongs to exactly one campaign, and analytics can be filtered or shared at the campaign level.

Create a campaign

1

Click New Campaign

From the Campaigns page, click the 'New Campaign' button in the top right.

  • Give your campaign a clear, descriptive name (e.g. 'Summer Festival 2026').
  • Optionally add a description to help teammates understand the purpose.
Tip: Use short, memorable names. You can always rename a campaign later.

Organize your QR codes

2

Add QR codes to your campaign

When creating a QR code, you choose which campaign it belongs to. All codes within a campaign share the same analytics view.

  • Each campaign card shows a count of QR codes it contains.
  • Click a campaign card to see all its QR codes in one place.
  • Use the campaign detail page to quickly create new QR codes within that campaign.

Share campaign analytics

3

Share a live analytics link

Click the Analytics link on any campaign card to view scan data. You can share this view with teammates or clients by sharing the URL.

  • Filter analytics by date range to focus on specific periods.
  • Campaign-level analytics aggregate scans across all QR codes in the campaign.

Edit and delete

4

Edit campaign details

Open a campaign and click the edit button to change the name or description. Changes take effect immediately.

5

Delete a campaign

Deleting a campaign also removes all its QR codes and associated data. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you no longer need the data before proceeding.
